L: XIANG XIU LI. born 1932 to a poor family and after 1949 she started work. In 1958 she applied to join the CCP as a model worker and in the same year, December, whilst making medicine the ethyl alcohol exploded by accident and she was seriously burnt as she fought to save the lives of the workers and the property of the country. She died and was posthumously accepted as a party member.
R: ZHANG ZHI XIN born in Tianjin, she joined the CCP in 1955. During the cultural revolution period she held firmly to the truth and struggled against Lin Biao and the Gang of 4. In April 1975 she was cruelly murdered by the Gang of 4. After her heroic acts were published she was admired by people of all nations. She was called a soldier by the people. She was the pioneer of ideological emancipation.1984,

L: ZHANG SI DE Joined the red army in 1932 and was injured 3 times. He finished all the different tasks required of him. After he arrived in Shanbei he changed his work many times but was always happy to obey. He loved his job, he loved what he did. Loving whatever you are engaged in is essential. In 1944 he was using a charcoal burner in the mountains when the kiln roof fell in on him and he was killed. Chairman Mao joined his funeral in person and gave his famous Serve the People speech, highly praising Zhang Si De's revolutionary spirit., R. DONG CUN RUI In 1945 joined the 8th Route army and in 1946 he joined the CCP. He worked very hard and won many awards. At Longhua he lead the Explosives Team to fight bravely to clear the blockade obstructing the army's advance. Deng served as China's paramount leader from 1978 until 1992. In 1994 a special series of posters, produced in his native Sichuan, was released glorifying a collection of events during his life. This series is one of the few examples of posters that can be said to advance a cult of personality for Deng. They followed on from his handling of the events of June 1989, his comeback through his Southern Tour in 1992 and his official resignation the same year.
Deng died in 1997.
